A Helpful Guide to The Right Dosage of CBD

This may have left you wondering "how much CBD should I be taking??"

CBD Oil as a supplement is currently in its infancy, and as information about its incredible healing qualities moves faster through the internet than any courts or bureaucracy in any country, it may be a long time before authorities such as the FDA in the United States or the EMA here in Ireland provide CBD with a recommended daily intake. So until the regulating authorities catch up, H&H Supplies thought we’d offer some advice on how and when you should take your CBD.

’We’re going to start you off with…’’

When you sit down with your doctor to discuss a problem you’re having, there may be the need for a course of medication to be administered. With a click of the pen, the doctor will usually say ‘’we’re going to start you off with…’’, this is no different to the administration of CBD servings. Start off with a lower dosage, say 300 mg, one serving per day and if your symptoms are only mild, whether it be pain, anxiety or sleeping issues, this may well be enough. Once you’ve finished this, if you haven’t noticed a significant improvement, it may be time to up the CBD concentration to 1000 mg or 1500 mg and perhaps servings too. Don’t feel at this point that the previous dosage was a waste of time and money, it’s important to introduce our bodies to new supplements gradually, this is all part of the trial and error.

Heres a tip for calculating your CBD dosage:

For every ten pounds of bodyweight add 1-6mg of CBD depending on the severity of the condition being treated and also take into account your bodies chemistry and makeup. As we said before its best to start lower and gradually work up.

<25lbs 26-45lbs 46-85lbs 86-150lbs 151-240lbs >241lbs
none-mild 4.5 mg 6 mg 9 12 18 mg 22.5 mg
medium 6 mg 9 mg 12 15 22.5 mg 30 mg
Severe 9 mg 12 mg 15 18 27 mg 45 mg

Are you being served?

So what does it mean by ‘’a serving’’?. H & H supplies calculate our servings to be one pipette (dropper) full of CBD Oil which is .5ml.

One dropper of our 300mg H&H Hemp Oil is 15mg of CBD

One dropper of our 1000mg H&H Hemp Oil is 50mg of CBD

One dropper of our 1500mg H&H Hemp Oil is 75mg of CBD

Consistent and Constant with you CBD

As you introduce CBD into your routine, it’s important to remain consistent and constant with your servings. Pick a time during the day, a time when your schedule isn’t too busy, say lunchtime or when you perform a routine such as skin care or working out; and incorporate CBD into this slot every day. The effects of CBD remain for approximately 4-12 hours, how long a serving affects you depends on several variables such as CBD concentration, body weight and severity of problems. So whether you feel you need a serving once, twice or three times daily, try to stay consistent with your dosage and constant with your times.

CBD as a pharmaceutical medicine is still in its infancy. Politics, courts, and bureaucracy are continuously stunting its growth, but the effects of CBD in numerous clinical trials, as well as the endless personal testimonials of blogs, social media and news publications show the incredible level of maturity people have towards this naturally occurring wonder compound.
